What is the ruling on attending a business meeting where non-Muslims eat and drink during the day in Ramadan, knowing that I am fasting?

The disbeliever is obligated to fast, and if he eats during the day in Ramadan, his gathering becomes a gathering of Munkar (evil). Therefore, a Muslim must leave his company, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: (And He has already sent down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah disbelieved in and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed, Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together.) An-Nisa/140. If a Muslim is compelled to sit with a disbeliever who is eating during the day due to public work or a legitimate interest, and he is unable to denounce the Munkar, or if leaving the gathering would cause him harm, then he is permitted to sit only for the extent of the necessity, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: (Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you) Al-Ma'idah/6. A Muslim woman must avoid mixed work environments, especially with disbelievers.
