Is it permissible for Muslim employees to attend a foreign company's party where alcohol, music, and dancing are presented, even for a short period and in a designated area where alcohol is not served, out of consideration for non-Muslim colleagues?

It is not permissible to attend parties that include abominable acts such as drinking alcohol, music, and dancing, even for a short period. Nor is it permissible for a Muslim to fall into forbidden acts to accommodate the feelings of non-Muslims. Presence in places where sins are openly committed is not allowed except for those capable of removing those abominations. For among the characteristics of the servants of the Most Merciful is that they do not bear false witness, as Allah Almighty says: "And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by ill speech, they pass by with dignity." {Al-Furqan:72}. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not sit at a table where alcohol is served. If the invited person did not know until he arrived, then he should forbid them. If they do not desist, he should leave, unless he fears for himself from doing so. This is the view of the Hanbalis. The Malikis stipulated, regarding the obligation to accept an invitation, that there should be no reprehensible acts. As for the invitation from a non-Muslim, it is permissible to attend it on condition of denouncing the forbidden, just as it is permissible not to attend it from the outset.
