Is it permissible to eat with Christians, sleep in their beds, and pray in their homes full of images, when the mosque is far away?

A Muslim must beware of mingling with Jews and Christians, living among them, and taking them as allies, for Allah, the Almighty, says: (O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. Some of them are allies of one another. And whoever of you takes them as allies - indeed, he is one of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people) [Al-Ma'idah: 51]. And because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever gathers with a polytheist and lives with him is like him." And his saying: "I am innocent of every Muslim who resides among the polytheists." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, why?" He said, "Their fires should not be seen by each other."

One must advise and warn relatives against living with disbelievers, which may lead to affection.

A man must also pray in congregation unless the mosque is far away, in which case he should pray in his home in a place free of images.
