Are there sins that are more severely punished and more obligatory to abandon than other sins, such as homosexuality, disobeying parents, and severing ties of kinship? And which is greater: disobeying parents, severing ties of kinship, or practicing homosexuality? And can a person sever ties of kinship and disobey their parents during a period of treatment if that prevents them from practicing homosexuality?

Disrespecting parents and fornication are major sins, and it is not permissible to prefer one over the other in order to commit it. One should continue to seek treatment from specialists, strive against one's desires, and repent to Allah. Furthermore, one must seek Allah's help and persistently supplicate Him with the well-known supplications, such as: "O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, abstinence, and richness," and "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, my sight, my heart, and my semen," and the supplication for leaving the house.
