What is the ruling regarding someone who suffers from excessive flatulence, and whose ablution is invalidated every time he performs it, causing him to miss the prayer time, and who suffers from obsessive doubts concerning the invalidation of ablution or the correctness of bowing and prostrating, and is unable to perform congregational prayers?

The afflictions and calamities that befall a person are from Allah's divine decree and preordainment, and one must not despair or be discontent. "Indeed, the greatness of the reward is commensurate with the greatness of the trial. And indeed, when Allah loves a people, He afflicts them. So, whoever is content will have contentment, and whoever is discontent will have discontent." The intent here is to encourage patience after the trial has occurred, for everything that indicates despair and discontentment with the divine decree is forbidden. Therefore, it is not permissible to wish for death due to a harm that has befallen a person, as this indicates discontentment with the divine decree and despair. Instead, one must be patient and seek refuge in Allah.
