The question

What is the ruling on masturbating and then eating afterward during the daytime in Ramadan, and on masturbating after iftar and listening to music in Ramadan? And how can one overcome misgivings and doubts about some prophetic hadiths, such as the hadith about the gates of Paradise being opened on Mondays and Thursdays, given the time difference between countries?

The answer

Masturbation is forbidden, invalidates the fast, and necessitates making up the day and repentance. The four Imams have agreed on the invalidity of the fast for the one who commits it and the obligation to make up the day. It is obligatory to refrain from eating and drinking for the remainder of the day, and it is not permissible for one who has broken their fast without an excuse to eat or drink. Listening to music is forbidden. As for the doubts that arise in the heart, they are from the stratagems of Satan and can only be dispelled by increasing knowledge and certainty. For doubt is the entry of uncertainty into the heart due to weak knowledge and insight, and the one firmly rooted in knowledge dispels such doubts.
