Is it permissible to discard beard trimmings, or must they be buried? And is there a sin incurred by one whose beard trimmings are discarded without his knowledge?

Firstly: It is not permissible to shave the beard, as it goes against the Prophetic command and involves imitating polytheists and women. Ibn Hazm reported the consensus of scholars on the prohibition of shaving it.

Secondly: It is not permissible for a barber to shave beards, because it constitutes cooperation in sin, and taking payment for it is forbidden.

Thirdly: It is not obligatory to bury hair and nails after cutting them, although it is preferable if done.
