What is the ruling on naming a son with an Amazigh name?

It is permissible to name a son an Amazigh name, for the basic principle regarding names is permissibility, as long as it does not involve servitude to other than Allah or is exclusive to disbelievers. It is desirable to choose a good name for the newborn, for a good name has a place in people's hearts, and it should be good in meaning and suitable for his condition. Giving preference to names specific to Muslims is better, as is choosing Arabic names due to the connection between the Arabic language and Islam.
