Is it permissible to take revenge on the husband's family who assaulted the questioner and took her possessions, and is it permissible for her to burn down their house?

In-laws relations should be characterized by harmony and affection, and the in-laws’ act of assaulting and oppressing the wife violates this. The wife should fear Allah and be patient. She can refer her case to the judiciary to obtain her rights, but she is not permitted to retaliate by burning their house, as that would make her an oppressor and a sinner. Patience and entrusting one's affairs to Allah, or forgiveness and seeking reward from Him, are noble qualities that bring goodness and blessings.
