Is it permissible to destroy the house of one who destroyed my house and caused my divorce, in accordance with the noble verse: "So whoever commits aggression against you, aggress against him in like measure as he aggressed against you"?
What your friend did by ruining your home and corrupting your family is a grave crime and a betrayal, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He is not one of us who incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master." It is not permissible to strive to ruin a home and break up a family, even if there are narrations indicating the permissibility of retaliating against an aggressor, due to the harms that would result for the husband and children. We advise patience and forgiveness, for Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good deeds, and He, the Exalted, says: "So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah," and "But whoever is patient and forgives, indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination."
