Is it permissible for a husband to expel his wife and divorce her based on the words of his parents and brother after he hit her and they informed them of what happened between them?

A husband must treat his wife well, as Allah Almighty says: "And live with them honorably," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The most perfect in faith among the believers are those who are best in character, and the best of you are those who are best to their wives." Honoring one's parents is obligatory, but obeying them in divorcing one's wife is not binding, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Obedience is only in what is good." A husband can take back his divorced wife without a new contract or dowry as long as her waiting period (iddah) has not expired. If the iddah has expired, then a new contract is necessary. It is forbidden for a brother-in-law to incite a wife against her husband if the aim is to cause mischief and separation between them, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He is not one of us who incites a woman against her husband." And family members must fear Allah regarding their son's wife.
