A Muslim must deal with Allah, knowing that he will be held accountable for his deeds, and no one will bear another's burden; as Allah Almighty says: "And if a heavily laden soul calls for its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he be a near relative," and His saying: "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another."

The sister must fear Allah and know that the harm of what the husband does falls on him, not on her. It is not permissible for her to commit haram under the pretext of revenge or reciprocating betrayal. Scholars have stipulated that if one's honor is violated, it is not permissible for him to violate the honor of the aggressor under the pretext of returning evil with evil, for the matter of honor and its violation is a right of Allah.

Therefore, the sister must fear Allah, advise her husband, and explain to him the impermissibility of what he is doing. What he does after that will not harm her, for Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, upon you is [the responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah is your return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do."
