How can a person protect their secrets from the sorcerers whom their family employs to treat the problem of the Qareen (jinn companion)?

It is impermissible to go to soothsayers and seek their help. A person must advise their family to repent from such acts and to avoid accompanying those who engage in them, because going to them and believing them is among the greatest sins. One should recite the ruqyah upon oneself, and use the prescribed supplications and incantations, and supplicate to Allah and seek refuge in Him so that He may protect them from their evil.
