It is not permissible to use a woman who displays her adornment (mutabarrijah) for marketing and advertising. This is because it involves aiding in the spread of immodesty and causing people to fall into the prohibition of viewing such displays. Allah, the Almighty, says: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty) [Quran 5:2]. Displaying adornment is one of the major sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There are two types of people who will be among the inhabitants of Hell whom I have not seen: people with whips like the tails of cattle, with which they beat people, and women who are clothed yet naked, inclining [to evil] and causing [others] to incline. Their heads are like the humps of camels, leaning to one side. They will not enter Paradise, nor will they smell its fragrance, though its fragrance can be smelled from such and such a distance." You must be certain that your provision is decreed and will not decrease if you avoid what is unlawful. Rather, a person may be deprived of provision due to a sin he commits. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a man may be deprived of provision due to a sin he commits." And he said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit inspired in my heart that no soul will die until it completes its term and receives its full provision. So, fear Allah, and be moderate in seeking [provision], and let not the delay in receiving provision lead anyone among you to seek it by disobeying Allah, for indeed, what is with Allah cannot be attained except through obedience to Him."
