Is the sin of abandoning prayer forgiven through jihad, and is jihad considered beneficial for one who abandons prayer, despite their desire to support Islam and attain martyrdom?

Prayer is a great pillar of Islam. One who abandons it, denying its obligatory nature, is an infidel by consensus. However, one who abandons it out of laziness is not considered an infidel by the majority of scholars. One who abandons prayer out of laziness must make up for all missed prayers. If unable to ascertain their exact number, he must continue to make up for them until he is reasonably certain that his duty has been fulfilled. If he repents sincerely and makes up the missed prayers, his sin will be expiated. Martyrdom in the path of Allah expiates all sins except for the rights of human beings. So, if one who abandoned prayer out of laziness attains martyrdom, he is a martyr. It is incumbent upon one to resolve to maintain prayers, seek Allah's help, associate with righteous people, attend religious gatherings, and ponder over the Quran.
