ما هي النصيحة لمن يترك الصلاة وقت المصائب والضيق ثم يعود إليها؟

Abandoning prayer during calamities is a grave evil and a serious sin. Willfully neglecting even one prayer until its time expires is considered a greater sin than adultery, theft, or drinking alcohol. The most fitting response when one is afflicted by something distressing is to increase acts of obedience and worship, especially prayer. Indeed, Allah Almighty commanded seeking help through patience and prayer during the vicissitudes and hardships of life. Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer" (Al-Baqarah: 153). The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, whenever he was troubled by an affair, would hasten to prayer. Prayer is a cure and an aid to Allah's mercy. Therefore, it is obligatory to maintain prayer in ease and hardship, for it is the greatest help against the misfortunes of life and the calamities of the world.
