What is the ruling on taking a personal commission percentage from companies one deals with, and is it permissible to continue taking the customary commission percentages without the knowledge of the employer who delays salaries and commissions and deducts from them?

It is impermissible for an employee to grant a discount to a company in exchange for a percentage thereof, as this is considered bribery.

Regarding an employee taking a customary commission percentage without the knowledge of the company owner: if a specific percentage was agreed upon, then it is obligatory to adhere to it. If there was no agreement, then the customary percentage must be adhered to. Concerning the permissibility of completing the commission without the knowledge of the company owner, there is a difference of opinion among scholars on this issue, known as "mas'alat al-zafar" (the issue of gaining one's right).

Regarding salary adjustments: if the contract stipulates it or if it was promised, then it is obligatory to fulfill it. However, if it is a favor from him, then he is not obligated.

Concerning the delay and installment of commission: if the company owner is in straitened circumstances, then there is no sin upon him, and he must be given respite. However, if he is wealthy and capable, then the delay is forbidden and is considered "the procrastination of the rich is injustice."
