Is a woman entitled to seek a divorce (khulʿ) from her husband who abandons her, betrays her, and lies to her, knowing that she has been very patient with him, especially after his second marriage, and that he has not upheld Allah's bounds with her nor been just?

Legally, a husband must treat his wife well, and he is not permitted to beat her or abandon her except in cases of nushooz (disobedience) as legally defined. Watching pornographic websites and dating foreign women are reprehensible acts that indicate the husband's transgression (fisq), justifying the wife's request for divorce or khul' if she dislikes him and fears neglecting his rights. The husband must have conjugal relations with his wife in a befitting manner, and he must be just among his wives if he has more than one. Furthermore, one must be cautious of migrating to non-Muslim lands unless there is a legal necessity.
