How do I deal with girls who mock and ridicule me at university, knowing that I endure their abuse, recalling Allah's saying: "And when the ignorant address them, they say, 'Peace'," and the patience of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? And is people's abuse a trial from Allah?

You have done well in patiently enduring people's harm and in complying with the noble verse. Forgiveness and turning away from oppressors are better than revenge, as steadfastness in patience is sought for the sake of the Creator. There are eleven aspects for a servant concerning the harm and transgressions inflicted upon him by people: the aspect of divine decree, patience, pardon and forgiveness, contentment, benevolence, safety, security, striving (jihad), blessings, exemplary conduct, and monotheism.
