Is it permissible for someone who is unable to marry to enter into an 'urfi, Misyar, or "friend" marriage, or to have a girlfriend or mistress, knowing that this is impermissible, in order to achieve a normal life given difficult financial circumstances?

One must first repent from committing sins and transgressions, as they are a violation of the commands of Allah and His Messenger. A believer must follow the Sacred Law, not bend it to his whims. The corruption of reality does not justify reprehensible acts; rather, reality must be brought back to the Sacred Law. Lawful marriage has conditions and pillars; if they are met, it is valid regardless of the name, and if they are missing, it is invalid. To treat the arousal of desire, one must marry if able, and fast if unable, and avoid prohibitions. It is not permissible to practice masturbation unless one fears falling into fornication.
