What are the specific duties of a divorced woman during the three-month waiting period (iddah), and is she prohibited from speaking with men online or going out with her parents' friends?

A woman does not have the right to divorce her husband, for divorce is a man's right. What occurs at a woman's desire and her payment of money in exchange for separation is "khul‘" (dissolution of marriage), which is an annulment of the contract, and its waiting period ('iddah) is one menstrual cycle. If khul‘ occurs, the woman becomes a stranger to her husband and is not permissible for him unless through a new contract and dower (mahr) after her waiting period ends.

However, if the husband divorces his wife (a revocable divorce), she is not permitted to leave her home during the waiting period, nor is he permitted to expel her. They are allowed to seclude themselves and converse, but he is not permitted to have intercourse with her unless he takes her back or has the intention of taking her back. If the waiting period ends or the divorce is irrevocable, she becomes a stranger to him.

It is not permissible for a woman to go out with non-mahram men or converse with them online in any circumstance.
