Is it permissible to supplicate by saying: "Oh Allah, I ask You for the provision of (Maryam), the palace of (Asiya), the piety of (Aisha), the heart of (Khadijah), the companionship of (Fatimah), the beauty of (Yusuf), the wisdom of (Luqman), the dominion of (Sulaiman), the patience of (Ayyub), the justice of (Umar), the modesty of (Uthman), the appointed time of (Aal Yasir), the character of (Al-Mustafa), and the love of (Ahl al-Bayt of the Messenger of Allah) - may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him"?

Asking Allah for the beauty of Yusuf, because it involves asking for a change in creation, which contradicts Allah’s cosmic law. Asking Allah for the dominion of Sulayman, because he asked his Lord for a dominion that should not be granted to anyone after him. Requesting the companionship of Fatimah or the heart of Khadijah; these are supplications that involve affectation and a lack of modesty. Therefore, we advise adherence to the etiquette of supplication and the supplications mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
