Is there a contradiction between Fatwa No. 65765 and Fatwa No. 31988 regarding the Muslims' defeat in the Battle of Uhud?

There is no contradiction between the two fatwas. The first fatwa exonerates the Prophet, peace be upon him, from defeat, and the second does not mention the Prophet’s defeat, peace be upon him, but rather the defeat of the Muslims. Scholars have unanimously forbidden the statement: "The Prophet, peace be upon him, was defeated," and they have emphasized this phrase. Some scholars have gone as far as to declare the speaker of this statement an infidel, while others have restricted the declaration of infidelity to cases where the intention is to diminish the Prophet’s status, peace be upon him.
