Anger has three states:

1. A state in which the husband reaches a degree where he does not comprehend what he is saying, so his divorce does not take effect.

2. A state of normal anger in which he comprehends what he is saying and controls himself, so his divorce undoubtedly takes effect.

3. An intermediate state between the two: intense anger that affects his intention but does not deprive him of his intellect. There is disagreement regarding this state, but the more preponderant view is that the divorce does not take effect.

The questioner knows himself best and the extent of the anger he reached. If he cannot determine it, he should consult a scholar or a Sharia court.
