The answer

A major sin is any sin for which a legal punishment (حد شرعي) is prescribed, or for which a warning of punishment in the Hereafter has been given, or whose perpetrator has been cursed in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Intentionally exposing a man's 'awrah in front of others is not among the major sins because none of these conditions apply to it; rather, it is a minor sin. However, persistence in committing a minor sin can transform it into a major sin and lead to the ruin of its perpetrator. Minor sins are expiated through sincere repentance (التوبة النصوح), good deeds, and by avoiding major sins.
