The awrah (intimate parts) of a deceased woman is no different from that of a living woman, except that if her husband washes her, he should cover her. Scholars differed regarding the ruling on this, between it being recommendable (istihbab) or obligatory (wujub). Some of them held that it is permissible for him to look at her, just as he did during her lifetime.
