Is the Hadith: "If the people of Sham become corrupt, there is no good in you. And there will always remain a group from my Ummah victorious, unharmed by those who forsake them, until the Hour is established," authentic, and how can it be applied to our current reality?

"If the people of ash-Sham become corrupt, there is no good in you. A group from my Ummah will remain victorious, unharmed by those who abandon them, until the Hour is established." Several hadiths have been narrated regarding the virtues of the people of ash-Sham, including: "Adhere to ash-Sham, for it is Allah's chosen land on earth, to which He gathers His chosen servants." And it was narrated: "The people of the West will remain manifest upon the truth until the Hour is established," and what is meant by the people of the West are the people of ash-Sham.
