What is the authenticity of the hadith: "People will continue to be sifted until only the dregs remain"?

A prophetic hadith was narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr in Imam Ahmad's Musnad, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan Ibn Majah, and Al-Mustadrak by Al-Hakim. It was authenticated by Al-Hakim, Al-Dhahabi, and Al-Albani. It prophesies a time when people will be sifted, and only dregs will remain—people whose covenants and trusts have been corrupted, and who have fallen into discord. The hadith instructs Muslims at that time to uphold what they recognize as good, abandon what they denounce as evil, focus on their own affairs, and leave the matters of the common people.
