What is the ruling on one who was killed in a National Gendarmerie cell after being accused of suicide, and whose uncle said after washing him that he was a martyr if he had killed himself out of fear of shame and scandal?

Suicide is forbidden and is one of the gravest sins. One who kills himself is not a martyr, and he remains under Allah's will, like other disobedient Muslims. Therefore, supplicate for him abundantly, seek forgiveness for him, and give charity on his behalf.
