The answer

The greatest blessing is the blessing of guidance to the religion. Among the signs of contentment with Allah are: patience in obedience, in abstaining from disobedience, and with painful decrees; and love for Allah, His religion, His messengers, and His saints, along with steadfastness. Contentment does not entail submission and abandoning efforts to improve one's situation. Indeed, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in both. Be keen on what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and do not be helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say: 'If only I had done such and such, it would have been so and so.' Rather, say: 'Allah has decreed, and what He willed, He did.' For 'if only' opens the door for the work of Satan."
