Is it contentment with all creatures or contentment with Allah?

Contentment with Allah is a great station, and among the most beloved acts of the heart to Allah. Allah praised the Companions for it, saying: {And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with excellence – Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him}. The reasons for achieving this contentment in the heart are the servant's awareness of Allah's blessings upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say: "O Allah, I ask You for contentment after the decree." This station is only attained by one who truly knows Allah. As for contentment with a created being, it cannot be answered without clarifying what is meant.
