What is the wisdom behind Allah Almighty not sleeping, and what is an example of this in the story of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him)?

No hadith with this wording about Allah Almighty sleeping has been reported. Ibn Kathir mentioned a hadith with a similar meaning but deemed it weak and described it as Munkar (denounced/rejected). He clarified that it apparently was not Marfu‘ (traced back to the Prophet), but rather among the denounced Isra'iliyat (reports from Jewish sources). For Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, is too great to attribute sleep to Allah. Allah Almighty Himself informed us in Ayat al-Kursi (the Verse of the Throne): {Allah! There is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.} Al-Albani also included it in Al-Silsilah al-Da‘ifah (The Chain of Weak Hadiths) and described it as Munkar.
