Is it obligatory to make up for the 32 days of prayers that were missed due to prison circumstances, where it was impossible to perform the prayers with full ablution and in the correct manner?

It is from Allah Almighty's mercy upon His servants that He has removed hardship from them. So, whoever is unable to fulfill a condition or a pillar of prayer, that which he is unable to do is waived for him. He performs what he is capable of, and his obligation is absolved, and no re-performance is required of him. The captive who fears for himself prays however he can, and no re-performance is required of him if he does what he is capable of. Scholars have stipulated that one who fears harm, such as from a beast, an enemy, or a flood, prays the prayer of intense fear however he can, and re-performance is not obligatory upon him. However, if it is possible to escape the fear without this prayer, then he must pray a complete prayer. Whoever has prayed the prayers according to his ability has absolved his obligation. As for the prayers he omitted, they are a debt upon him that he is obligated to fulfill, because it was incumbent upon him to pray according to his condition. If he fell short in performing what was obligatory upon him, such as if he could have prayed sitting but prayed with gesturing, then re-performance is required of him. Gesturing with the eye is not permissible except after being unable to gesture with the head. Whoever is unable to gesture with the head gestures with his eye, and if he is unable to gesture with the eye, he performs the actions of prayer with his heart. If his tongue is tied, he recites the Quran and the obligatory remembrances with his heart.
