What is the meaning of "and abandon selling" and what is meant by selling at the time of Friday prayer?

Trade must be abandoned when the call to Jumu'ah prayer is made, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah, then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade." The Malikis hold that trade at this time is invalid for those for whom Jumu'ah prayer is obligatory.
