Is a blood sacrifice due from me for ablution and a blood sacrifice for ritual bathing, or a single blood sacrifice for purity as a whole, after discovering an error in purification during Umrah and acting upon the Hanafi madhhab which does not stipulate purity? And is it permissible to adopt the view of Imam Ahmad that the blood sacrifice for Tawaf is a sheep and not a camel, and is it permissible to delay offering the blood sacrifice?
The majority of scholars stipulate purity (taharah) for circumambulation (tawaf). Therefore, whoever performs tawaf without purity is as if he has not performed it, and he must abstain from the prohibitions of ihram and return to Makkah for a correct tawaf and sa'i, followed by taqsir (shortening the hair).
For prohibitions of ihram that were violated (such as cutting hair and trimming nails), there is one fidyah for each category (a sheep, or fasting three days, or feeding six poor persons).
For matters of comfort and adornment (like wearing sewn clothes and using perfume), there is nothing due from one who did so out of ignorance.
Intercourse committed out of ignorance does not invalidate the umrah according to many scholars.
The view that purity is not a condition for tawaf is the opinion of the Hanafis and one narration from the Hanbalis. This is a less preferred opinion, but acting upon it after the fact is permissible.
Based on the opinion of the Hanafis and Hanbalis, your tawaf is valid and you owe a sheep. There is no distinction between much or little, or between a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) or minor ritual impurity (muhdith) in the tawaf of umrah.
Delaying the sacrifice of the hady (sacrificial animal) is permissible according to some scholars, though it is better to hasten it. It must be slaughtered within the Haram (sacred precinct) and distributed to its poor inhabitants.
