Is lying about the place of residence in the marriage contract, due to the unavailability of a sheikh from the court, considered a sin?

Lying about one's place of residence does not affect the validity of the contract, but it is a major sin and is not permissible except in specific cases. The liar must repent to Allah Almighty, regret what they have done, and resolve never to return to it again.
