What is the difference between inherent nature (al-ṭabʿ) and acquired nature (al-taṭabbuʿ), with examples? Thank you.

"Nature" (الطبع) refers to the inherent characteristics with which a person is endowed, such as generosity and courage. As for "cultivating a trait" (التطبُّع), it means feigning a quality that is not part of one's original nature, like a lazy person feigning activity. Allah has indeed legislated for us to acquire good morals, even if they are not originally part of our nature.
