Does dyeing hair with chemical dyes affect the validity of ablution?

The use of black dye is forbidden for both men and women, based on the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Change this and avoid black," and his saying: "There will be people in the latter times who dye [their hair] black like the crops of pigeons; they will not smell the scent of Paradise." If a person uses hair dye, and it has a substance that prevents water from reaching the hair, then ablution (Wudu') is not valid until this substance is removed. If it does not have a substance, then it does not cause harm. Imam An-Nawawi said: "So, wiping over a barrier beneath it is not permissible." And Ibn Qudamah said: "If he dyed his head with something that covers it or plastered it with clay, wiping over the dye and clay would not suffice him."
