What is the ruling of the Sharia on paying an expiation (kaffarat yameen) for violating an oath sworn regarding a fictional profession due to not possessing sufficient money to pay the taxes and Zakat imposed by the state? Is this expiation sufficient, and what is the ruling on money paid to the government as taxes or salary Zakat?

It is permissible for the state to impose taxes when there is a need and conditions are met. If taxes are imposed unlawfully, it is permissible to resort to stratagem to eliminate or reduce them. Salaries are not subject to zakat unless they reach the nisab (minimum threshold) on their own or by being combined with other assets, and a full hawl (lunar year) has passed on them. Whoever swears a false oath must repent to Allah, and he has done well by offering the expiation for a false oath (yamin ghamus).
