Does the ruqyah performed by the wife for her husband without her knowledge, which later caused her illness and imagination of things such as "geckos," and then ended in divorce, have an effect on her?

If ruqyah is legitimate according to the Quran and Sunnah, then it is permissible and sunnah. As for bid'i (innovated) or shirk (associating partners with God) ruqyah, it is corrupt and harmful. Scholars have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of ruqyah so long as it does not involve shirk or words whose meanings are not understood, coupled with the belief that its effect is by the decree of Allah. Whoever has been treated with illegitimate ruqyah must repent and learn the legitimate ruqyah. Illegitimate ruqyah may be a cause of calamities, for "whatever befalls a human being is because of what their own hands have earned." It is obligatory to repent to Allah and to show humility before Him in removing harm, while also taking the means of treatment and legitimate ruqyah, and adhering to dhikr (remembrance of Allah).
