What is the ruling on committing sins and transgressions, such as watching pornography and seeking out places of corruption, under the pretext that 'Umrah or Hajj will wash away these sins, knowing that the perpetrator intends to return to them after performing the rituals?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to do what Allah has forbidden, for sins accumulate and destroy their perpetrator. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against belittling sins, as their situation is like a people who gathered sticks and lit a fire. Therefore, it is obligatory to beware of all sins, to adhere to the Sacred Law, and not to follow Satan, who beautifies sins and promises forgiveness, which is a deception from him. Whoever relies on forgiveness while persisting in sin is like an obstinate person. And hoping for mercy from one whom you do not obey is abandonment and folly. One should not be deluded by acts of worship while persisting in sins. Prudence dictates avoiding all sins, and a servant must hasten to sincere repentance and abstain from sins. Their obedience is good, and we hope that they are among those who have mixed a righteous deed with another evil one, and that Allah grants them sincere repentance.
