Is a husband's throwing of his wedding ring in anger after an argument with his wife considered an allusion to divorce?

A man's angry removal and throwing away of a wedding ring is not one of the كنايات (allusions/metaphors) of divorce. So, if he intended divorce by it but did not utter it verbally, it does not count as a divorce; because divorce does not occur except by utterance. Ibn Qudamah said: "Divorce does not occur except by an utterance. If he intended it in his heart without utterance, it does not occur according to the general consensus of the scholars. And if he intended it in his heart and pointed with his fingers, it also does not occur."
