What is the ruling regarding refugees from other Islamic countries in Muslim lands, and how should they be dealt with? And does the ruling differ between those who live in tents and those who have become wealthy, control workers, and refuse to return to their occupied homelands?

A Muslim should view refugees with compassion and mercy, whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims. The Prophet, peace be upon him, encouraged honoring captives and treating them kindly, citing the Holy Quran in Surat Al-Insan: "And they feed food, out of love for Him, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive." The Prophet, peace be upon him, also said: "Free the captive, answer the caller, and visit the sick." We must know that arrogance towards people is a custom of the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah), and that virtue is only through piety. The Prophet, peace be upon him, emphasized this by saying: "O people, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of Jahiliyyah. People are of two kinds: a righteous, pious person who is noble to Allah, and a wicked, wretched person who is lowly to Allah. All people are the children of Adam, and Allah created Adam from dust." As it is stated in Surat Al-Hujurat: "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted."
