How should one deal with refugees and immigrants who suffer from contempt and mistreatment due to their circumstances?

A Muslim should treat people according to what Allah has legislated, with good manners, fulfilling rights, spreading peace, smiling, speaking kindly, and with humility. They should treat others as they would like to be treated themselves, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And deal with people with good manners." And: "Whoever wishes to be moved away from the Fire and entered into Paradise, let his death come upon him while he believes in Allah and the Last Day, and let him treat people as he loves to be treated." It is necessary to be patient in the face of injustice and mistreatment, to forgive, and to repel evil with good, especially with relatives, friends, and neighbors, for Allah Almighty says: "And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] with that which is better, and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend. But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good]."
