What is the religious view on treating people kindly in this age where kindness is met with evil, and must a person be evil in order to live?

A Muslim should not have bad manners under the pretext of conforming to people or the corruption of the times, for religion is good manners. Allah Almighty says: (And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that which is better). And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I was only sent to perfect noble character." A Muslim should improve his character and rectify what he can, and not blame people or praise himself, and not conform to people in their corruption. He should not say: "People are ruined," but rather accustom himself to doing good if people do good, and not to oppress if they do evil.
