How can one find that which helps endure injustice and imprisonment and removes the pain of tribulation?

This worldly life is a realm of trial and test. A Muslim must be content with Allah's decree and destiny, for what was destined to befall him could not have missed him, and what was destined to miss him could not have befallen him. Allah decreed the measures of all things fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth.

Patience in the face of tribulation is a sign of Allah's love for His servant, and indeed, the greater the trial, the greater the reward. The believer's affairs are all good: if prosperity befalls him, he is grateful; if adversity befalls him, he is patient. Tribulation can come in the form of good and evil, benefit and harm.

A prisoner unjustly incarcerated must be patient and content with Allah's decree. He is not the first to be wronged; prophets and scholars preceded him in this. He should increase his supplications, for Allah is near, answering the supplication of the caller and removing evil. The prayer of the oppressed is answered. He should attach himself to Allah and find solace in Him by performing acts of worship and reciting the Qur'an, for whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and ease.
