Can the questioner maintain his prayers, and what is the way to do so? And can he forget the period in which he watched pornography and memorize and act upon the Holy Quran? And will his past sins, especially pornography and masturbation, affect his personality, such as making him a coward?

If a servant repents with sincere repentance, then repentance erases the sins that preceded it. He should occupy himself with acts of obedience, increase good deeds, associate with righteous people, pray to Allah to protect him, and strive against himself and his desires. As for forgetting the sin, it is not absolutely required; remembering it may lead to remorse and seeking forgiveness, while forgetting it might be better if the servant is in a high state of love and joy with Allah, so that he does not descend from his elevated rank.
