What is the ruling on people sitting in the pathways in Al-Toud Village, Luxor, to talk about others and look at what Allah has forbidden, and what is your advice regarding this matter?

The first is not to sit in the roadways. If it is unavoidable, then those sitting must give the road its due right: lowering the gaze, refraining from harm, returning greetings, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.

These people must be advised by explaining the danger of slandering Muslims and casting one's gaze upon what is forbidden.

It is also obligatory to keep away from sitting with such people while continuing to advise them.
