Is it permissible for a man to marry a girl who has tuberculosis and is two years his junior?

A Muslim must take preventative measures against infectious diseases. Islamic law has commanded avoiding those afflicted with leprosy and prohibited mixing with people who have infectious diseases, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "A sick person should not be brought upon a healthy one," and "There should be no harm nor reciprocal harm." And due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not kill yourselves. Indeed, Allah is ever Merciful to you." Based on this, scholars prohibit individuals with infectious diseases from mixing with people if their harm is certain. Therefore, if mixing with a tuberculosis patient makes one uncertain of avoiding infection, it is better to avoid marrying them, unless there is a preventative treatment specified by specialized doctors.
