What is the ruling on families and children leaving Mina during the Days of Tashreeq due to the unavailability of suitable accommodation, and is expiation obligatory for children in this case?

Spending the nights of Ayyam al-Tashreeq in Mina is obligatory according to the majority of scholars. If a pilgrim does not find a place in Mina, they should descend to Muzdalifah. They may also spend the night outside Mina, provided their lodging is connected to the pilgrims' accommodations. Whoever misses spending the night without a valid excuse must offer a sacrifice (dam). If the omission was due to a bearable hardship in the rituals, this is not considered an excuse. However, if one is excused, nothing is required of them.
